Light panels and slide displays are illuminated structures, ranging from table/shelf-top to stand-alone furniture in size, that present slides (could be other types of transparencies as well, such as negatives, chromes, or Cibachromes), and which often incorporate ceramic elements into the design. The intention is to allow easy access to the slides so that changes can be made conveniently.

The examples below, while in some cases available for purchase, are included to provide a sense of the range of possibilities. The approach taken with Light Panel Prototype (“62/64), for example, could be applied to room dividers, movable and changing screens, room doors and cabinet doors, and, indeed, built on to walls. Slide Display 02 Desk/Table Lamp incorporates cut-through of the bottom base of the slide display box to provide direct lighting unto table or desk surfaces.

Types of wood, basic shapes, designs, slide display capacity, and ceramic elements are all highly variable, to provide one-of-a-kind pieces.
