Momento Mori

Wikipedia describes “Memento mori” as a Latin phrase meaning “Remember you will die”. It names a genre of artistic creations that vary widely from one another, but which all share the same purpose: to remind people of their own mortality… The phrase has a tradition in art that dates back to antiquity.

As regards Arch Art efforts, of which images and descriptions are linked below, may also be thought of a memorials to people or events of importance to those commissioning the work.
