Found box bottom with clasped, hinged, and chained multi-wood top lid (teak, ash, cherry), mounted on aromatic cedar legs salvaged from “rustic-style” coffee table; other wood trim includes padauk and walnut. Three under-box mounted halogen fixtures provide light to desk/table surfaces; dimmer switch inset in leg. Box contents include four desiccated mice, sprayed with gold polyurethane paint, resting on a satin upholstered interior, trimmed in veneer plywood and separated into compartments by collage on divider panels. Box is topped with glass, with ribbon allowing glass panel to be opened.
